Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the VoydBites mobile app and voydbites.com handle information. VoydBites is developed and published by Rishin Anil.
Information VoydBites collects
VoydBites does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, payment details, or advertising identifier. The current app does not create user accounts, run an advertising network, process subscriptions, or send likes and bookmarks to a VoydBites database.
Local app data
Your likes, bookmarks, display preferences, cached science drops, and acknowledgement of in-app notices are stored locally on your device so the app can remember them. VoydBites does not receive this local data. You can delete it through your device's app-storage controls or by uninstalling the app.
Science drops and network requests
The base catalogue is packaged with the app. When an internet connection is available, the app may request a public static manifest and article files from voydbites.com to check for new, manually curated science drops. The hosting and delivery providers may process ordinary connection data such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, and time of request for security and service operation. VoydBites does not use these requests to build user profiles or serve targeted advertising.
External sources and optional support
Articles may link to original reporting, research papers, images, and an optional Ko-fi support page. These services are operated by third parties. If you open their content, they may receive ordinary connection information and handle data under their own privacy policies. VoydBites does not receive your payment-card details, and donating does not unlock app content or features.
App stores and operating systems
Apple, Google, your operating system, and your app store may independently process download, diagnostic, crash, or purchase-history information under their own policies. That processing is controlled by those providers and is not used by VoydBites to operate an account or advertising profile.
Security, retention, and deletion
VoydBites minimizes data handling by keeping personal preferences on your device and publishing updates as read-only static files. Local app data remains until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. There is no VoydBites cloud account or server-side profile to retain or delete in the current Showcase Edition. Hosting providers may retain operational security logs according to their own policies and retention schedules.
Children's privacy
VoydBites does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no account system and does not collect profile information, users should not submit personal information through the app.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated if VoydBites' data practices materially change. The effective date below identifies the current version.
